Synopsis

The acquisition of Sygenta by ChemChina is evidence of the Chinese interest for food security.

By such acquisition, they are breaking their dependency on agricultural biotechnology by acquiring the agrochemical researching and developing programs from the Swiss company.

In Argentina, Sygenta has a corn seed processing plant located in Venado Tuerto, an experimental station in Santa Isabel and another research center located in Girasol, Camet Mar del plata.
